Narrow antique French archtop mirror with banded gilt frame

 Narrow antique French archtop mirror, circa 1910, with watergilt frame partly decorated with alternating bands of burnished and matt gold and with a beaded sight edge (edge closest to the glass). Through years of dusting, the gold leaf has thinned revealing the warm, terracotta bole beneath. The original glass has some delicate light age, similar to the patterns left in the sand when the tide goes out, but still gives an excellent reflection. This mirror would make an attractive full-length mirror where space is limited or used as an "entre-deux" mirror hung between two tall windows or doors.
