Very Tall Pair of Ropetwist Mirrors

These lovely, mid 19th century, French mirrors have a narrow, watergilt, ropetwist frame and delicate floral and foliate cartouches. Where the frames have been cleaned over many years, the gilding has thinned revealing the terracotta bole and cream gesso beneath. The original mercury glass has minimal age and a lot of sparkles.
