Antique mirror with undulating frame

Dimensions:

 Mid 19th century French mirror with unusual undulating watergilt frame. Where this mirror has been cleaned for more than 150 years, the gilding has thinned, revealing the warm terracotta tones beneath the gold leaf. The original mercury glass has wispy age, which could almost form an outline of hills, but still gives a good reflection.
