Small French Empire period (1804-15) mirror with layered frame, partly decorated with palm leaf design between raised borders and with an overlapping leaf sight edge. After more than 200 years of dusting, the gilding has worn revealing terracotta tones and cream gesso beneath. The original mercury glass has a little age.
