Queen Sudan Medal. Private Alfred Dobson. 1st Lincolnshire Regiment.

Awarded to Private Alfred Dobson of the 1^st Lincolnshire Regiment. Queen Sudan Medal (3681 PTE. A. DOBSON. 1/LIN. R.). Private Alfred Dobson was born in Hull in East Yorkshire, in 1875. Service papers show he enlisted with the Lincolnshire Regiment on the 11^th October 1893 at the age of 18. He saw service abroad in Malta, Egypt, India, Gibraltar and service at home. His discharge papers indicate he was discharged on the 9^th October 1915 showing termination of his second engagement on the 9^th October 1915.  It also shows that he had reached the service rank of Company Sergeant Major with the 3^rd Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment.
