Awarded to Private (Bandsman) Alexander McLeod of the 3rd Battalion Royal Fusiliers with the trade of Bandsman.1914-15 Star (13480 BNDSMN: A. McLEAD. R. FUS: ), British War Medal & Victory Medal (L-13480 PTE. A. McLEOD. R. FUS.) Records show he entered French Theatre of Operations on the 19th January 1915. A couple of months later he was killed in action on the 7th March 1915. He was killed during the campaign battle foe Kemmel in Belgium. He is buried at the Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery in Belgium. * Please note mistake made on surname on 1914-15Star. (with copy MIC, medal rolls, C.W.G.C. photo’s of grave & Papers)
