How to plant a galvanised trough - winter planting

How to plant a galvanised trough- peat free compost - Phormium - Carex everillo - Skimmia - Heuchera - Ivy and Tete - e -tete miniature daffodils. 

Start by putting some drainage in the bottom of the planter , we use broken terracotta , fill the planter about three quarters full and arrange the plants as you wish, we have also pushed in some dwarf daffodil bulbs, and then top up with more compost, in the summer we will add some summer colour with some small bedding plants.
