A very pretty bone china coffee cup and saucer by Brown Westhead & Moore with a lilac ground throughout and with an ornate rope twist moulded looped handle and knotted rope feet, all gilded and both pieces with a gilt dentil rim. Impressed factory mark to the base of the saucer, printed diamond registration mark dating for 1869 and pattern number painted in red C6386.
The saucer measures 13.7cm (5 3/8") wide and 2cm (1 3/4") high. The cup measures 6.5cm (2 1/2") high, 6cm (2 3/8") rim to rim and 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to handle.
Condition is very good. The cup has a short fine glaze line which is too fine to photograph and a small amount of discolouration inside the base of the cup. No other issues and no discernible handling wear.
