A very nice large Caughley porcelain moulded cabbage leaf jug with mask spout printed in underglaze blue in the ever popular "Pleasure Boat" or "Fisherman" pattern, c.1785. A very finely printed example, with crisp detail and minimal smudging. S mark to the base.
It measures 22cm (8 5/8") high. 15cm (5 7/8") wide and 19cm (7 1/2") handle to spout.
Condition is very good. There has been a small amount of professional restoration to the spout which is close to invisible to the naked eye. No other issues; light handling wear, a little more so to the handle.
