Gilt, heavy brass coffin stands made by Robbs, Hexham.  Robbs was a mid-size department store, latterly owned by Beales. Established in 1818, by lace trader William Robb and managed for the next 169 years in a Father amd Son line of 6 generations. It had a long history, boasting the first electric lights in the town and its own funeral directors service, where no doubt these pieces came from.

Now, these early 20c pieces would make the perfect decorative bases for a large glass top for a single table, or alternatively two smaller side tables. We could help you with this, so please don't hesitate to ask.
