Celtic Iron Age, Balgae ‘Cheriton Wheel’ type Gold Stater C.55-45 BC. 
Obverse: Wreath pattern, chevron cloak lines, with snake-head above, ringed-pellets around.
Reverse: Triple-tailed horse facing right, charioteer’s arms above, pellets with ‘coffee-bean’ in front, spoked wheel below, with tiny crescent between wheel and inner foreleg.

18 mm in diameter, 5.6 grams.
Extremely fine or better, much as struck, on a large full size chunky rose-gold flan.
Extremely Rare.
