Obverse: Crowned armoured King on horseback facing left, holding sword, Shrewsbury style plume in field behind, mint mark plumes, with latin legend and beaded borders surrounding: CAROLVS. D: G: MAG: BR: FR: ET: HI: REX.
Reverse: Latin Declaration in two lines at centre between ruled lines RELIG: PROT: / LE: AN: LI: PA:, three plumes with bands above, date below, mint mark BR monogram, with latin legend and beaded borders surrounding: .EXVRGAT. DEVS. DISSIPENTVR. INIMICI.

A most appealing specimen, extremely well struck for the issue, on a full large round flan, nicely toned with lustre, extremely fine and very rare thus.
