Tower Mint, group D, type 3, mint mark Portcullis (1633-4)
Obverse: Fourth small bust with un-jewelled crown facing left, with falling lace collar, value mark VI behind, with Latin legend and beaded inner and outer borders surrounding: CAROLVS D; G; MA; BR; FR; ET HI; REX.
Reverse: Oval quartered shield of arms, C R at sides with Latin legend surrounding:, .CHRISTO. AVSPICE. REGNO.

2.9 grams, 25 mm in diameter.
Toned, a little weak on the high points as usual with the issue, but with a good portrait and better than usually seen, with a great provenance, a bold very fine, rare.
