Tower Mint, struck under the King, Group E, type 41variety, mint mark Anchor prostate, 1638-39 both sides
Obverse: Fifth “Aberystwyth” crowned bust facing left, rounded shoulder, single arched crown, value XII in field behind, with Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding on both sides: .CAROLVS D; G; MA; BR; FR; ET. HI; REX.
Reverse: Long cross fourchee over quartered shield of arms, with Latin legend surrounding: .CHRISTO. AVSPICE. REGNO.

Lightly toned, with very good detail especially for the issue, good very fine.
